Surgical coordinator $25.00 hour range
Hours: Mon, Clifton office 9-6. Short Hills office on Tues. 9-5/ Wed. 9-530/Thurs. 10-4/Friday 8-4.
Educate patients on the procedures or treatments their doctor recommends.
Some treatments and procedures are not covered by medical insurance, so you will also counsel the patient on costs and financing. You will also collect payment prior to treatment.
Set- up pre- and post- surgical appointments, collect all required paperwork for surgeries, get surgical authorization from the insurance companies, book surgeries with the surgical center, and organize the final surgical charts.
Guide patients through the surgical procedure from start to finish.

Must be very organized and detail-oriented. Organizing a surgical chart is a HIGHLY SPECIFIC task with many pieces of information coming from different sources: the patient, the surgeon, the patient's primary care doctor, the insurance company, and the surgical center.
